The Richardson Romanesque building of Westminster University is located at 84th Avenue between Lowell Boulevard and Federal Boulevard. When it was completed in 1908, the area was known as Crown Point. The building was considered the most beautiful architectural design of the time. In the first year, 60 students attended classes. Financial difficulties, only a few years later, caused the college to close. The building was vacant for several years. The Pillar of Fire church purchased the University buildings and 40 acres in January 1920.

ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION
The details of the Richardson Romanesque style are immediately seen in this red, sandstone structure with a tower. Textured brick and stonework, arch designs above windows and doors, asymmetrical roof lines are a common feature in this Victorian style building. E. B. Gregory created the architectural design for the Presbyterian Church. Completed in 1892, it housed Westminster University until financial problems close the doors in 1917.
