(45) President's House
This Eclectic style house located at 8201 N. King Street, was built in 1910 as a residence for the University presidents. Salem Pattison was the first to reside here. ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION
This building is considered Eclectic because more than one style can be seen in its design. Two-stories, numerous rectangular windows and a square shape with a simple- hipped roof suggests the Prairie style. The elaborate front entrance with the very tall decorative columns show the Neoclassical style. Neoclassical elements were popular at the beginning of the 20th century.
