(32) Plandel Orchard Outbuildings
The three Folk Vernacular structures located at 7786 Lowell Boulevard, were built in 1906 and used for the DeSpain/Plandel Orchard. At different times, the buildings were used as bunkhouses for the orchard workers and storage for harvesting equipment.

ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION
During the new railroad era (1880-1890) when people were no longer restricted to local building materials, lumber and glass were readily available. Wood-framed structures with simple windows were common because the floor plan could be built quickly. The Folk Vernacular elements of these one -story, wood-framed buildings include: side-gabled roofs, symmetrical windows, rectangular shapes and exterior wood cladding (siding) rather than brick.
