This Romanesque Revival style building located at 7200 Lowell Boulevard is known as Pleasant DeSpain Sr. Building. The School District 50 Administrative offices are located here. The school was built in 1889 and the property was purchased in February 1892 from Richard DeSpain. It was originally a three-room red brick schoolhouse with Grades K-8 in attendance. From the 1920s -1950s the building was Westminster Elementary School.

ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION
The original style of this brick building built in 1898, was Romanesque Revival, (elements are copied from Richardson Romanesque) which is noticeable because of the tower in the right front corner. The original oak flooring, and red brick work inside was preserved when the building was remodeled in the 1920s. After the remodel, features of the Craftsman style were added.
