This Italianate Vernacular schoolhouse located at 3555 W. 64th Avenue is the oldest school in the area. Harris resident, Madame Eugenia Putz donated the land and the school was built in 1877.

ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION
The Italianate style of this school can be seen in the design of the tower and the long, narrow shape of the windows with decorative pediments and arches on the top. Steep, front gabled roofs are also a common feature of this style.
