(21) Aldridge House
This Prairie style house is located at 7900 Bradburn Boulevard. It was built by James D. Husted and deeded to his daughter Catherine and her new husband Frederic Aldridge on August 15, 1910. The Jack Smith family purchased the house in the 1940s.

ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION
The Aldridge house is a perfect example of the high style Prairie style house, built in America from 1905-1913.

The identifying features of the Prairie style include: a low pitched roof, hipped, with widely overhanging eaves; two stories, with one story wings or porches; eaves, cornices, and façade detailing that emphasize horizontal lines; often with massive, square porch supports. The hipped dormers, diamond pane leaded window upstairs and the double hung sash windows are all typical details.
