This Craftsman style house is located at 3801 W. 76th Avenue. M.A. "Doc" and Laura Shipman originally built the house on six acres of land (an entire city block) in May 1923. The Shipman family has owned this house for 80 years.

ARCHITECTURAL DESCRIPTION
The elements of Craftsman can be seen in this house with a low pitched, side-gabled roof Tudor style half timbering, under the side eaves, and porch roof supports which are solid square brick columns. A front gabled window also features half-timbering and two difference types of stonework adds a distinctive Craftsman touch.
