SMART911.com enhances your emergency services

Today more than 70% of 911 calls come from mobile devices. 

Smart 911 allows for individuals to go online and create a Safety Profile for any cell, landline, or VOIP phone in their household.

Citizens control their own profiles, which are only available to 911 operators.  The information can only be accessed when you call 911.

Citizens can put as much or as little info into their profile as they want:

                    o  Vital personal information, household and medical 
                        information.

                    o  Photos, descriptions, vehicles, pets.

                    o  Emergency contacts, disabilities, medications.

Participation is completely voluntary. The system is secure and free of charge. 

Available to agencies in Jefferson County including the Adams County portions of Arvada and Westminster.

All of your information is housed on Rave Mobile Safety data bases, it is not part of any 911 data base and totally unrelated to the Emergency Notification System, you can still use 911 if you choose not to participate.

When the situation is chaotic, you are under stress, the information is already there,  but anything you give verbally to the dispatcher will supersede the profile.

Smart 911 will send you an e-mail every 6 months to update your information, if you don't they will call you, if you still don't update/verify info the profile will not be made available if you call 911. You can log onto your profile at anytime to change any of your information.

CodeRED Notification System

Code Red is the new emergency notification system the City of Westminster, police and fire, will be using to notify residents of important information.  It is replacing an older reverse 911 type system.

As most of you know, the City of Westminster is in both Jefferson and Adams counties, however for the purposes of this notification system, the entire city will fall under the Jefferson County side.  This helps ensure that all of our citizens are receiving the same level of service.

Currently any “land line” phone should be in the system, and thus the reason for the test on February 6.  If you do not have a landline in your business or residence, you can register your cell phones for the same types of emergency notifications.  Along with emergency notifications, you can sign up for emergency weather notifications.  This can be done at your911.net.

Code Red is different than Smart911.  Smart911 provides dispatchers with information that citizens enter in order to assist emergency responders, such as; medications, parent’s names, pet information ect.  Smart911 can only be accessed when you dial 911, we do not have access to that system until 911 is dialed. 

Smart911 is not part of the CodeRED system and data is not shared between the two.  You must register individually for each system in order to benefit from their services.
