9:00 a.m.

Holy Cow Trail Stampede
Join us for the annual 10K run, 5K run/walk. The Holy COW Trail Stampede is one of a few races run on a trail surface, and is an out and back course. The Stampede begins at 9 am at the Christopher Fields softball Complex and follow the trail north past the City Park complex pavilion and then return to the Christopher Fields complex. Walk next door to City Park for Westy Fest when you’re done! Sign up and get more information about the Holy Cow Trail Stampede.

Shred-A-Thon and Electronics Recycling
A shred-it truck will be located at the circle drive between the Recreation and Fitness Centers from 9 am to noon.  Bring old bank statements, credit card offers, cancelled checks, and more! Trash and newspapers not accepted. The Westminster Noon Rotary Club is sponsoring the event as a fund raiser and will be taking donations for their scholarship program for area students. Metech Recycling will also be collecting electronics for a small fee. This is a great way to recycle your unused or obsolete electronics.

Westy Fest Begins

ABC Music Academy – Community Stage
Enjoy the musical talent of students from ABC Music Academy.  The performance features jazz and rock ensembles comprised of students in middle school and high school. 

Primrose School Activity Zone – All day
Have fun playing in the Primrose School Activity Zone which includes bounce houses, climbing walls, giant slides, obstacle courses, a carnival and much more! 

Kayak Tank - All day
A giant kayak tank will be at Westy Fest for adults and kids to enjoy. Don’t worry if you’re not a white water expert, the kayaks and canoes are extremely stable to provide a successful first experience even if you’ve never been in a boat. Additionally, the custom-built tank is only two feet deep, so kids’ concerns about tipping over disappear.  While you’re there, visit the Standley Lake booth to make a Paracord bracelet, fish for prizes and register to win a fishing pole. Also stop by the Westminster Parks, Recreation and Libraries Outdoor Recreation booth and learn all about the cool outdoor recreation activities in Westminster.

Carnival – All Day
The City of Westminster Aquatics Department is running a carnival under the big top in the Primrose School Activity Zone.  Stop by and play a variety of games for free. Earn tickets and redeem them for fabulous prizes!

Exhibitors – All day
More than 120 booths will be set up at Westy Fest. Shop for a variety of products from home based business and craft vendors, learn about numerous non-profit groups in the area, gather information from local businesses or grab something to eat from the many food vendors. There’s sure to be something for everyone!  

Car Show – All day
The Rocky Mountain Car Club is hosting a car show at Westy Fest. The show will feature makes and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles! Would you like to enter your car in the show? Register at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/westy-fest-car-show-tickets-12298357719.

Westminster Dance Company Recital & Drama Performance– Main Stage
Watch these talented dancers as they show off their skills at Westy Fest.
 
Butterfly Pavilion Show and Tell - All day
Stop by the Butterfly Pavilion booth throughout the day and see some creepy and crawly creatures.

Westminster Faire Department Mini Combat Course - All day                                  
Don’t miss the Westminster Fire booth where kids can try out their fire fighter skills on the mini combat course. Pick up some safety information while having fun!

Animal Adoptions & Education - All day
Several animal rescue groups will be at Westy Fest looking for loving homes for dogs and cats. Stop by their booths in Pet Place and learn how you can save a life.  

Professional Pet Photos - Pet Place     
Head over to the pet photo booth from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. for a free professional photograph of your pet.

Touch-A-Truck – North side of park
Public Works and Utilities and the Westminster Fire Department will have vehicles on hand for children to climb on, sit in, view up close, and pose for photos on. It’s a great way to learn about how various trucks work.  

Creative Westminster Booth – All Day
Explore your creative side at the City of Westminster Creative Westminster booth. Watch demonstrations of pottery wheel throwing, oil painting, knitting and more.  Create a hands-on clay project or a pinwheel.

Environmental Advisory Board Booth – All Day
Do you love popcorn?  If you do, stop by the City of Westminster Environmental Advisory Board booth for a free bag of delicious popcorn.

Volleyball
Bump, set spike! Head to the volleyball nets and join in a game. Open play will be going on all day.  All ages and skill levels welcome.  It’s just for fun!

LAO Art and Performers of Colorado – Community Stage
Enjoy a traditional Laotian dancing show featuring performers from the LAO and community.  

Low Cost Dog and Cat Vaccination and Microchipping by Foothills Animal Shelter
Foothills Animal Shelter will be operating a low-cost dog and cat vaccination and microchipping clinic from 10:30 a.m. to noon and 2 – 4 p.m.. For cats the cost is $15 for Rabies and $15 for Distemper/Panleukopenia (FVRCP). For dogs it is $15 for Rabies, $15 for Distemper/Parvo (DA2PPV) and $15 for Bordetella.  Microchipping with HomeAgain chips is $35. Registration is included with the fee. Cash, check and credit card accepted. If possible, please bring a copy of your pet’s vaccination records to help facilitate what vaccines your pets need.

Noon 

Flight for Life Landing
The St. Anthony North Flight for Life helicopter will land at Westy Fest from noon to 1 p.m. unless they’re called to an emergency.  Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet the flight crew and see inside a medical helicopter.

Dahlia’s Fantasia Dancers  and Cairo Moon  – Community Stage                
Dancers will perform belly and ethnic dances from the Middle East. Their virtuosity and vibrant style captivates both Western and Eastern audiences.  Performances are not only entertaining but educational as well.  Watch them perform as well as learn how to do this enjoyable and healthy form of dance that builds self-esteem, confidence and poise.

12:30 p.m.

Phat Daddy- Main Stage
This high energy band is comprised of some of Denver’s top night club performers. Their performance will include high energy dance sets, beautiful ballads and memorable standards from every decade. 

12:45 p.m.

Throwback Thurzdays
Three gals, three guys and three guitars. From Restless Heart to Stevie Nicks, they’ve got country rock covered.

Yappy Hour – Pet Place                                                         
Bring your furry friend to Yappy Hour from 1 – 3 p.m. for free treats, ice and water pools and shaded areas for your pets to cool off.

Rocky Mountain Polynesians – Community Stage
Escape to the Islands with this awesome performance by the Rocky Mountain Polynesians which highlights Hawaiian hulas.

Indigo Rain   
With strong foundations in Egyptian Cabaret, their style of Oriental dance has evolved into an american Cabaret infused with a hint of other dance forms. Don’t miss this exciting performance.

Bella Danze Arts
Talented dancers from Bella Danze Artz will impress you with their awesome dancing skills in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and more.

2:30 p.m.

FACE – Main Stage
FACE is a nationally recognized vocal rock band based out of Boulder, Colorado, bringing a new edge and attitude to the human voice. Using just five singers and a vocal drummer, Face creates a rock-music phenomenon that has to be seen to be believed. No instruments and no special effects - just six guys. 

Blue Nova Round Dance – Community Stage
Grab your partner and head to the community stage for a performance by Blue Nova Round Dance. This group will perform social ballroom dancing where the steps are announced by a "cuer."

3 p.m.

Ronald McDonald Magic Show – Community Stage
This 30-minute show includes great music, engaging magic, and lots of fun for all elementary school age audiences.

4 p.m.

Food Trucks- Christopher Fields Softball Complex, 5875 W. 104th Ave. 
Westy Fest ends at 4 p.m. but the fun does not. Walk over to Christopher Fields for tasty food from a variety of food trucks.

Westy Craft Brew Fest – Christopher Fields Softball Complex
Craft beer drinkers rejoice! Brand new this year is the Westy Craft Brew Fest which will take place from 5 – 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and include unlimited beer sampling from local breweries, a free concert by ‘Lil Dreamer, and the perfect outdoor setting for tasting some of the best beer brewed in Colorado. Concert in the Ball Park – Christopher Fields Softball Complex
A free concert at Christopher Fields. 104th & Westminster Blvd., from 6-8 p.m. featuring ‘Lil Dreamer.  Grab a meal or other refreshing beverages at Benders at the Ball Park.
