Quail Creek Trail
The 1.5-mile-long concrete Quail Creek Trail extends from the Big Dry Creek Trail near I-25 to 136th Avenue and eventually will continue several more miles into Broomfield. Park at 134th Avenue and Pecos Street, where the trail is located north of 134th Avenue. Go north across city open space to 136th Avenue, use the underpass, crossing into Broomfield and the attractive Quail Creek Park. The trail temporarily ends at Zuni Street but eventually connects to the Broadlands development. Take the sidewalk on the east side of Zuni Street north to the McKay Lake Open Space in Westminster. Go east and the trail passes through the Quail Crossing subdivision and Quail Crossing Park before going under Huron Street in an underpass. A side trail in the park leads north to 136th Avenue. The last half mile of the trail is on city property near the edge of Quail Creek in a gentle valley. The trail intersects the Big Dry Creek Trail just west of I-25.
