Mushroom Pond Trail

Mushroom Pond TrailThis scenic, combination concrete-and-gravel trail is one of several in Westminster that interconnects the Farmers' High Line Canal Trail and Big Dry Creek Trail. Park at Foxshire Park, located at Bruchez Parkway and 108th Avenue. Take the concrete trail northwest through the park to the Farmers' High Line Canal Trail, where the trail temporarily ends. Jog west a few feet to where the gravel trail continues along the east side of the 4-acre Mushroom Pond. West of the pond is the site of the former Savery Farms mushroom farm, once the largest mushroom production facility west of the Mississippi River. The trail becomes concrete as it continues between the Savory Farm and Cedarbridge subdivisions, crossing 111th Avenue and going on the east side of Clay Street before reaching 112th Avenue.

Cross 112th Avenue and take the sidewalk on the westside of Ranch Reserve Parkway along the edge of the Vogel Pond Open Space to the concrete trail on the left just beyond 114th Court. Four-acre Vogel Pond is visible to the east. Take the trail west through the Ranch Reserve subdivision to Federal Boulevard and cross Federal Boulevard onto Stratford Lakes Parkway. Go right onto Grove Street and go past the Stratford Lake Clubhouse to the dirt trail on city open space that leads to the Big Dry Creek Trail. The trail drops 122 feet in elevation from one end to the other.
