Countryside Creek Trail
This nearly 1.5-mile-long trail follows cattail-filled Countryside Creek and provides a surprising amount of solitude in the Countryside subdivision. Park at the city's Countryside Recreation Center at the corner of Countryside Drive and Oak Street. The gravel trail begins behind the recreation center, past the tennis courts and playground. The trail quickly drops down into the creek valley. At the trail junction, the main trail goes straight, while to the right is a steep, boulder-lined trail to Witt Elementary School and to the left is a trail that crosses the creek and then rejoins the main trail.
The main trail passes through Mayfair Park, with its playground and grassy play field. After crossing the bridge, the sidewalk to the left on the south side of 105th Avenue turns to a gravel path on the city open space and loops back west to the main trail. The trail to the right continues on to Standley Lake High School, Wadsworth Parkway and the Walnut Creek Trail at Dover Street.
