Arapahoe Ridge Trail
This 0.8-mile-long, mostly gravel trail on the north side connects the Farmers' High Line Canal Trail to the Quail Creek Trail. Park at 132nd Avenue and Pecos Street and go south on the east side of Pecos Street past a storm water detention pond, Arapahoe Ridge Elementary School and Amherst Park. The trail then enters city open space, with Bull Reservoir on the left. This cattail-lined lake is perhaps Westminster's best bird watching area. Bald eagles are often spotted perching on the dead tree branches and huge flocks of waterfowl are attracted to the lake. The trail ends at the Big Dry Creek Trail just north of 128th Avenue.
