Historic Westminster Jazz and Art Festival

Saturday, June 8, noon - 8 p.m., Hidden Lake High School Athletic Field, 72nd and Lowell Boulevard
This great event takes place in the the heart of Westminster’s Historic Art District and features live jazz performances, vendors, food, art and more. Thanks to funding from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District and North Metro Arts Alliance, the event is free. Get more information about the festival.

Father/Daughter Ball

Saturday, June 15, 6 - 9 p.m., City Park Recreation Center, 10455 Sheridan Blvd.
An enchanted evening awaits fathers and daughters at the 19th annual Father Daughter Ball. The event includes a sit-down dinner, dancing, a photograph, horse-drawn carriage ride and refreshments. This fairytale evening fills quickly so register early. Ages: 5 years and older. Fee per person: $30 resident/$36 non-resident. Register at any recreation center.

Movies in the Park

City Park, 10475 Sheridan Blvd.
Movies are free and take place on Fridays. Enjoy watching family friendly movies on a 24’ screen under the stars. Food vendors and fun pre-movie activities open at 7 pm. Movies begin at dusk. To ensure the best viewing, seating is cordoned off in sections with blanket seating in the front, low-back beach chairs in the center and camp chairs and other higher seating in the rear. Summer Solstice Celebration and Bike Ride

Friday, June 21, 6 - 9 p.m., Westfield Village Park, 115th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard
Pump up your bicycle tires and dig out your Hawaiian shirt or hula skirt, it’s time for a group bike ride! Bikers of all ages will meet at City Park or Big Dry Creek Park at 6 p.m. for a fun and easy ride along the Big Dry Creek Trail. The ride will stop at Westfield Village Park where riders will enjoy a free concert by The Nacho Men, food vendors, a bounce house, Touch-A-Truck, free activities and more! Staff will lead bikers back when the concert ends at 9 p.m. Don’t want to be part of the bike ride? Meet us at Westfield Village Park at 7 p.m. for the concert and activities. The theme is Hawaiian, so decorate your bike and dress in your favorite Hawaiian attire.

The Nacho Men - Friday, June 21
The Nacho Men combine live dance music, costume changes, choreography and humor for a show that is as much fun to watch as it is to dance to. You’ll want to jump up and dance when you hear them play, but remember to keep one eye on the stage to catch the wacky antics and guest "superstar" performers who frequent The Nacho Men shows. This concert takes place at Westfield Village Park, 115th and Sheridan.

Heartbeat - Thursday, July 4
Dance the night away to the grooves of Heartbeat. This popular variety band will keep you on the dance floor all night as they play styles of music including Motown, Disco, Rock, Swing, Top 40, Latin, Country, Reggae and more! Get ready for a night of entertainment you will not soon forget.

Soul School - Thursday, July 18
Soul School is a high energy band known for tight harmonies, great choreography and unbelievable audience interaction. Their repertoire includes Rhythm and Blues, Motown, Old School Funk and current R&B, but they also perform Oldies, Rock and today’s most requested hits by popular artists. Soul School consistently brings the highest level of stage show and performance to each event and always satisfies even the most discriminating audiences.

We are proud to present the Summer Concert Series in partnership with North Metro Arts Alliance, the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, and Premier Members Federal Credit Union.

Fourth of July Celebration

Thursday, July 4, 6 - 9:35 p.m., City Park, 10475 Sheridan Blvd.
Celebrate America’s birthday and honor those who protect our freedom at the annual 4th of July Celebration. Food vendors open at 6 p.m. A free concert by Heartbeat starts at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Have fun in the activity area playing on jumping castles, slides and more! Parking is VERY LIMITED. Use the FREE shuttle bus from many locations in Westminster and Hyland Hills. GRILLS, FIREWORKS, and GLASS CONTAINERS are not allowed at the event. The 4th of July Celebration is presented by the City of Westminster, the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District, North Metro Arts Alliance and the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District.

Westminster Faire

Saturday, Aug. 10, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., City Park, 10475 Sheridan Blvd.
Mark your calendars for the 23rd annual Westminster Faire! This year’s event will feature two stages of entertainment, free activities for all ages, more than 100 vendor booths, Westminster Dog Show, shopping, food, low-cost dog and cat vaccinations and many more activities for the entire family to enjoy.

Holy Cow Trail Stampede

Saturday, Aug. 10, 8 a.m., Christopher Fields Softball Complex, 5875 W. 104th Ave.
Enjoy spectacular mountain views at the annual Holy COW Trail Stampede 10K trail run and 5K trail run/walk. The trail run finishes with food, fun and activities. Proceeds benefit the Westminster Youth/Teen Scholarship Fund and the Westminster Legacy Foundation. Registration forms are available at all Westminster recreation facilities and City Hall or register online.

Family Fun Nights

Bring the entire family to enjoy a night of family fun at the Swim and Fitness Center! Each Friday, the center will host a Family Fun Night from 6 - 8:30pm. A children's movie along with popcorn, game room and pool games will be offered at a discounted family rate. Pool games begin with large inflatables in the pool at 6:30 p.m. You won't want to miss these nights of family fun!
