Crazy Quack Quack Duck Race Benefits Youth Scholarship Fund

Saturday, April 19, 11 a.m. to noon
City Park Recreation Center, 10455 Sheridan Blvd., 303-460-9690, ext. 1

This fund raiser benefits the Youth Scholarship Fund which provides financial assistance to under-privileged City of Westminster youth. This fund enables those youth to participate in recreation programs at a discounted rate.  Ducks can be purchased for $5 at any recreation center. View flier for more information.

Hard As Nails Obstacle Mud Race

Are you "hard as nails" and want to prove it? Or do you need an excuse to play in the mud and get some exercise too? Well then, we have the perfect event for you! Hard As Nails Obstacle Mud Race is a local Colorado race for participants who want to challenge themselves while supporting their community. With an adult 5k and a separate youth 1k course, Hard As Nails is an event for individuals of all ages. Hard As Nails will test your strength and fitness while guaranteeing lots of fun and a great outdoor experience. Hard As Nails is organized, designed and directed by Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides, an outdoor adventure company that has designed both epic days and team building courses for some of the world’s top athletes. Summer Celebration

Friday, June 20, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., Westfield Village Park, 11298 Wolff St.
Pump up your bicycle tires, it’s time for a group bike ride! Bikers of all ages will meet at the pavilion at City Park at 5:30 p.m. for a fun and easy ride along the Big Dry Creek Trail. The ride will stop at Westfield Village Park where riders will enjoy a free concert by That 80s Band, food trucks, a bounce house, Touch-A-Truck, and more free activities! Bikers will be led back to City Park when the concert ends at 8:30 p.m. Don’t want to be part of the bike ride? Meet at Westfield Village Park at 6:30 p.m. for the concert and activities.

 

City of Westminster Summer Concert Series

Grab a lawn chair or a blanket and join us for food vendors, activities and a free concert. We are proud to present the Summer Concert Series in partnership with North Metro Arts Alliance, the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District and Premier Members Federal Credit Union.

Movies are free on Friday evenings and begin at dusk.

4th of July Celebration

Celebrate America’s birthday and honor those who protect our freedom at the annual 4th of July Celebration. Parking is VERY LIMITED. Use the FREE shuttle bus from many locations in Westminster and Hyland Hills. For a shuttle schedule visit www.cityofwestminster.us.  Grills, fireworks and glass containers are not allowed at the event.

Fire Department Fishing Derby: 8 - 11 a.m.

Swimming at City Park Pool: 8 am to 5:30 p.m.

Uncle Sam’s Splash Bash*: 1 - 3 p.m.
*Held at Countryside outdoor pool

Patriotic Bike Parade: 3 - 4 p.m.

Activity Zone opens: 4 - 9 p.m.

Summer Block Party

Friday, July 18, 6 p.m., Irving Street Library Park, 7392 Irving St.
Celebrate summer with a night of fun! Join us at the MAC, 3295 W. 72nd Ave., from 6 - 7 p.m. for a free BBQ then head next door to the Irving Street Library Park for a jumping castle, fire truck rides, activities, and much more. At dusk, enjoy a free movie in the park featuring The Blind Side.

 

Family Fun Nights

Bring the entire family to enjoy a night of family fun at the Swim and Fitness Center! Each Friday, the center will host a Family Fun Night from 6 - 8:30 p.m. A children's movie along with popcorn, game room and pool games will be offered at a discounted family rate. Pool games begin with large inflatables in the pool at 6:30 p.m. You won't want to miss these nights of family fun!
