Blazing Bullets Trail Run

Saturday, May 30, 8 a.m., Christopher Fields Softball Complex, 5875 West 104th Ave.

This fun family event benefits the Westminster Public Safety Recognition Foundation. Firefighters and police officers join in on the fun which includes a police K9 demonstration, Kiddie Combat Challenge, music by Hazel Miller, booths, goodie bags, T-shirts, and more. Choose to run or walk the 5K course or run the 10K course.  $30 if registered by May 22; $35 May 23 through 7:30 am on race day. Visit www.wpsrf.org to register.

Celebrate summer with a night of fun! Join us for a free BBQ, jumping castle, fire truck rides, activities, and much more! Enjoy a free concert featuring That 80’s Band.

 

Historic Westminster Jazz & Art Fest

Saturday, June 13, 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.,  Hidden Lake High School, 72nd Avenue and Lowell Blvd.

This free annual event takes place in the heart of the Historic Westminster Art District and features live jazz performances, vendors, food trucks, art and more. The music starts at noon and will culminate with a headliner from 6 to 8 PM.  Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets and plan for a relaxing afternoon of live music. Movies in the Park

Movies are free and take place Friday evenings. Enjoy watching family-friendly movies on a 24’ screen under the stars. Food vendors and fun pre-movie activities open at 7 p.m. Movies begin at dusk.

4th of July Celebration

Saturday, July 4, City Park, 10455 Sheridan Blvd.

Celebrate America’s birthday in Westminster! Food vendors open at 6 pm.  A free concert by Daddy Blue starts at 7 pm followed by fireworks at 9:15 pm.  Spend time in the activity area playing on a variety of jumping castles, slides and more! Parking is VERY LIMITED.

Use the FREE shuttle bus from many locations in Westminster and Hyland Hills. Click here to download a shuttle schedule.  GRILLS, FIREWORKS, and GLASS CONTAINERS are not allowed at the event.

This event honors the memory, spirit and community contributions of the late, former Westminster Mayor Nancy Heil and her husband J. The continuation of Nancy and J’s vision of a better community is reflected in the foundation’s mission to provide assistance to projects and programs that increase the quality of life for Westminster residents.

 

Family Fun Nights

Bring the entire family to enjoy a night of family fun at the Swim and Fitness Center! Each Friday, the center will host a Family Fun Night from 6 - 8:30 p.m. A children's movie along with popcorn, game room and pool games will be offered at a discounted family rate. Pool games begin with large inflatables in the pool at 6:30 p.m. You won't want to miss these nights of family fun!
