Community Pride Day

Saturday, May 12, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

City Hall, 4800 W. 92nd Avenue

Join more than 1,300 volunteers picking up trash along trails and streets and in open space and parks.  Then enjoy a free barbecue with food, entertainment, and prizes at City Hall.  This is a great activity for families, individuals, scout troops, churches, neighborhoods, and schools.  To register, call (303) 658-2201 or e-mail pwright@cityofwestminster.us.  Registration is required by May 4.

Father Daughter Ball

An enchanted evening awaits fathers and daughters at the 18th annual Father Daughter Ball.  The event includes a sit-down dinner, dancing, a professional photograph, carriage ride and refreshments.  Age:  5 years and older.  Fee:  $30 per person, $36 non-resident per person.  Please register, reserve a carriage ride and indicate any group seating preferences in advance by calling (303) 658-2192.  This fairy tale evening fills quickly, so register early!

Celebrate America's birthday in Westminster!  Food vendors open at 6 p.m.  A free concert by Boogielicious starts at 7 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m.  Parking is VERY LIMITED, so please use the FREE shuttle bus from many locations in the Westminster/Hyland Hills area.  Check back soon for a shuttle schedule.  GRILLS, FIREWORKS, and GLASS CONTAINERS are not allowed at City Park.  For more information, call (303) 658-2223.  For weather concerns the day of the event, call (303) 412-8761, ext. 428 or visit www.cityofwestminster.us.
