Green Fire, a film about Aldo Leopold, the father of conservation

Join us for a unique Movie in the Park experience. The evening starts with an easy nature hike highlighting beautiful Standley Lake with its abundant wildlife and amazing views. Then settle back on your blanket or chair for an inspiring film that enlightens each of us to better understand the importance of conservation, wildlife management and land ethics. Westy Family Camp Night
Saturday, Sept. 12-13, noon to 10 a.m., Standley Lake Regional Park
This program is perfect for all family members and includes exciting nature and recreational activities including volleyball, slacklining, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. Camping, a hot dog cook out, breakfast bagels and park admission also included. Fee: $9 per person for residents; $12 non-resident. For more information call 303-425-1097.
Sunday Funday Kick-off @ Irving Street Library and Park
Sunday, Sept. 13, noon to 2 p.m., 7392 Irving St.
Join us as we celebrate the grand opening of the new Sunday hours—open each Sunday 1-5 p.m.—at the Irving Street Library. The event will feature:
· Free food and music from noon to 2 p.m.;
· A welcome by Westminster City Councillor Alberto Garcia, at 1 p.m.; and
· A family art project hosted by the South Westminster Arts Group from 1-2 p.m.

Historic Westminster Orchard Festival
Saturday, Sept. 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 3915 W. 73rd Ave.
The festival features live music, public art demos and projects, artist and studio craft booths, sponsor booths and non-profits, Westminster Farmer's Market, food trucks, and beer garden all set up in the streets, sculpture garden and parks.
Wine, Beer & Spirit Tasting and Silent Auction
Saturday, Oct. 17, 7-10 p.m., Westin Westminster Hotel, 10600 Westminster Blvd.
Westminster Legacy Foundation's 13th Annual fundraising event is on tap with Westminster's Total Beverage set to pour over 140 wines, 65 brews and 55 premium spirits. Delectable food is prepared and served by 15 local restaurants and the Westin offers a special room rate for attendees. Tickets are available at Total Beverage starting September 12.
