Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Details

This program makes funds available for streetscape projects that improve the appearance of individual neighborhoods within the City of Westminster.

Westminster Parks
Westminster residents love the outdoors and have 2,910 acres of parks to enjoy. Many of the parks have playgrounds. View an interactive map of the city's playgrounds. A total of 65 parks are located throughout the city, and each Westminster resident has a park within a half mile of their home.

Dog Parks
Our four-legged friends can romp at three city dog parks.

Community Gardens
The City of Westminster has three community gardens.

Armed Forces Tribute Garden
Westminster has developed an Armed Forces Tribute Garden to honor those who serve in any branch of the Armed Services. The Tribute Garden is a unique addition to City Park and is located on 104th Avenue just west of the Christopher Fields softball complex. This permanent tribute includes a central water feature with a bronze sculpture, seating areas for each of the service branches, engraved bricks and beautiful landscaping.

Standley Lake Regional Park
At Standley Lake Regional Park, campers enjoy a new campground, and at the Standley Lake Nature Center, visitors can learn about the shoreline habits of nesting bald eagles. Other activities to enjoy at Standley Lake include boating, hiking, biking and fishing.

Reservable Park Pavilions
Most of the city's parks include covered pavilions, and the city currently has 12 reservable park pavilions and one reservable outdoor amphitheatre, the Promenade Terrace.

Westminster To Install New Dog Waste Stations
The city has contracted with Poo Free Parks™, which is a Denver-based, privately-held company providing eco-friendly pet waste services.  The company will provide free dispensers and bags at no cost to the City and will maintain these units on a regular basis.  Poo Free Parks™ is dedicated to help keep parks and waterways clean and beautiful in an environmentally-, fiscally- and socially-responsible manner, providing employment opportunities to heavily disadvantaged members of the community and bringing value and recognition to sponsorship partners. For more information, please visit the Pool Free Parks website.

Resource Management Program

Westminster is proud of its award-winning park system. A Resource Management Program (Tier Service Level Program) was implemented in 2011 to maintain park quality while managing available resources. The plan is systematic, professionally administered and is based on resources, need and priority. Learn more on the Resource Management Program page.
