Countryside Pool Now Open 

Pool hours for the 2015 season:

  • Adult swim and adults with children five and younger: Monday – Friday 11:30 a.m.-12:30p.m.
  • Open swim: 12:30 – 7:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 12:30 – 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 12-5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
  • Adult Swim: 11 a.m.-noon Saturday and Sunday

Registration is now accepted for swimming lessons and swim team. Summer passes are on sale and at a great price of $137 for the family! Countryside pool is stays open until September 13 this year.

Open Registration for Summer 2015 Activities Is In Progress

Registrations are being accepted for those summer activities that still have space. Registrations can be done at any recreation center by walk-in or phone. Online registration is also available.


Online Summer Camp Registration Is Open

Online registration for summer camp is designed for multiple, single day registrations ONLY. Full week registration needs to be done at any recreation center or by calling Cindy McDonald at 303-658-2219. Also, if your child's birthday during the summer would cause them to move up an age group level, again, please contact Cindy. It is stongly recommended that you print out the instructions below to assist you through the process.

Three-Time Winner of the National Recreation and Park Association Gold Medal Award
Westminster Parks, Recreation and Libraries is a three-time winner of the prestigious National Recreation and Parks Association Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. This award honors communities throughout the U.S. that demonstrate excellence in long-range planning, fiscal resource management, citizen support systems, environmental stewardship, preservation, technological integration, program planning and assessment, professional development, and agency recognition. The city received the Gold Medal Awards in 1991, 1999 and 2007. The city was also a finalist for the Gold Medal Awards in 1990, 1998, 2005 and 2006.

Parks, Recreation, Libraries and Open Space Advisory Board

Parks and Recreation Master Plan 2010-2014
The City of Westminster's Parks and Recreation Master Plan is perceived by staff as a vision of what the City's Parks and Recreation program could be in the future, as well as a plan to make that happen based upon available resources at any given time.  This document uses National Recreation and Parks Association's (NRPA) guidelines as well as the City's own new set of standards based on working knowledge of the Westminster community's needs.

Parks, Recreation and Libraries Rules and Regulations

The Director of Parks, Recreation and Libraries has the unique ability to adopt regulations, the violation of which can lead to ejection from parks, denial of future use of those facilities, and possible criminal penalties.  W.M.C.  13-1-4 and 13-1-5.  The Director's authority to adopt regulations has been used sparingly and has resulted in only a handful of regulations.  Those current regulations are as follows:
