Plan to attend the Swim and Fitness Center’s Open House on Saturday, May 25, when the Splash Deck will open for the season. Free admission from noon to 5 p.m. for kids 12 and younger. Enjoy popcorn, popsicles and giveaways. The Swim and Fitness Center is located at 3290 W. 76th Ave.
Splash away the summer heat with a Summer Splash Pass. Passes are on sale at any city recreation center through June 2, and are good from Memorial Day, May 27, through Labor Day, Sept. 2. Family passes include two adults and legal dependents under the age of 23 years living in the same household. An all-facility summer pass for resident families is $231/resident and $359/nonresident. For the Swim and Fitness Center and the West View Recreation Center the cost is $158/resident families and $218/nonresident families.
Melt away those winter pounds with a Summer Shape-Up Pass. Purchase up to three months at a discounted rate. Passes are available at the City Park Fitness Center, 10475 Sheridan Blvd. Two adult passes are only $45. Call 303-460-9691 or stop by for more details.
Summer registration is now open to all. Registrations can still be made for activities that have openings.

Registrations for Winter-Spring 2013 activities that still have space available are being accepted at all recreation centers in person or by phone. Registrations can also be processed through our on-line registration system. You must have a username and password to access the on-line registration system. See below for more information.
Final Wildlife and Natural Resource Management Plan
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Libraries now offers a convenient way to register for most recreation activities via the Internet. The online registration is a "live-time" registration process that registers participants directly into the software database. You must have a user name and password prior to registering and the person you want to register must already be in our database. Once you have been assigned a username and password and your family member information is in our database, you can register for classes, view class availability, reprint receipts, and view household class history.

Three-Time Winner of the National Recreation and Park Association Gold Medal Award Westminster Parks, Recreation and Libraries is a three-time winner of the prestigious National Recreation and Parks Association Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. This award honors communities throughout the U.S. that demonstrate excellence in long-range planning, fiscal resource management, citizen support systems, environmental stewardship, preservation, technological integration, program planning and assessment, professional development, and agency recognition. The city received the Gold Medal Awards in 1991, 1999 and 2007. The city was also a finalist for the Gold Medal Awards in 1990, 1998, 2005 and 2006.
Parks, Recreation and Libraries Advisory Board The Parks, Recreation and Libraries Advisory Board advises staff and City Council on various community needs and provides input related to parks, recreation and libraries issues, service delivery to the community and long-range planning. Parks and Recreation Master Plan 2010-2014 The City of Westminster's Parks and Recreation Master Plan is perceived by staff as a vision of what the City's Parks and Recreation program could be in the future, as well as a plan to make that happen based upon available resources at any given time. This document uses National Recreation and Parks Association's (NRPA) guidelines as well as the City's own new set of standards based on working knowledge of the Westminster community's needs.

Parks, Recreation and Libraries Rules and Regulations
The Director of Parks, Recreation and Libraries has the unique ability to adopt regulations, the violation of which can lead to ejection from parks, denial of future use of those facilities, and possible criminal penalties. W.M.C. 13-1-4 and 13-1-5. The Director's authority to adopt regulations has been used sparingly and has resulted in only a handful of regulations. Those current regulations are as follows:
