This program makes funds available for streetscape projects that improve the appearance of individual neighborhoods within the City of Westminster. Many neighborhood groups, homeowner associations, or nonprofit groups want to improve or beautify their neighborhood through their own efforts. The city wants to encourage citizen participation by providing matching funds to qualified applicants.
Applications are due Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 by 4 p.m. All projects must be completed and have submitted for reimbursement by Dec. 31, 2017.

Three-Time Winner of the National Recreation and Park Association Gold Medal Award
Westminster Parks, Recreation and Libraries is a three-time winner of the prestigious National Recreation and Parks Association Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. This award honors communities throughout the U.S. that demonstrate excellence in long-range planning, fiscal resource management, citizen support systems, environmental stewardship, preservation, technological integration, program planning and assessment, professional development, and agency recognition. The city received the Gold Medal Awards in 1991, 1999 and 2007. The city was also a finalist for the Gold Medal Awards in 1990, 1998, 2005 and 2006.
Parks, Recreation, Libraries and Open Space Advisory Board
The Parks, Recreation, Libraries and Open Space Advisory Board advises staff and City Council on various community needs and provides input related to parks, recreation, libraries and open space issues, service delivery to the community and long-range planning. Parks, Recreation and Libraries Rules and Regulations
The director of Parks, Recreation and Libraries has the unique ability to adopt regulations, the violation of which can lead to ejection from parks, denial of future use of those facilities, and possible criminal penalties.W.M.C. 13-1-4 and 13-1-5.5. The Director's authority to adopt regulations has been used sparingly and has resulted in only a handful of regulations. Those current regulations are as follows:
