Commuting ideas during US 36 Express Lanes Project
(Nov 29, 2012)
Reconstruction of U.S. 36 has begun to transform the existing roadway into a new multi-modal corridor.
The project, conducted by the Colorado Department of Transportation, includes adding a High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV)/tolled express lane in each direction, bus rapid transit service and the U.S. 36 bikeway.
The $312 million project will last from 2012-2015, and could create traffic congestion and travel disruption during construction.
