Input needed for city improvement plans
(Nov 29, 2012)
The City of Westminster’s Community Development Department will hold a second public meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, at City Hall, 4800 W. 92nd Ave., to obtain input on the city’s 2013 Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME) funds, and the Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy (NRS) Area Plan for South Westminster.
The 2013 Action Plan describes projects proposed to be funded by 2013 CDBG and HOME. These funds are allocated each year by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and are available for projects that benefit the city’s low- and moderate-income residents, and to alleviate blight.
The South Westminster NRS Plan describes the city’s proposed strategies, actions and benchmarks to reinvest in the area.
