Daytime temporary pavement installation will continue on the westbound side of U.S. 36 between Sheridan Boulevard and Church Ranch Boulevard. Also, expect various nightly single lane and shoulder restrictions in this area for median removal and striping from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. One lane will remain open. Survey work will take place throughout the corridor with some work concentrated on north and southbound Sheridan Boulevard from West 88th Avenue to U.S. 36.
Church Ranch/104th to Wadsworth Parkway - Upcoming U.S. 287 off-ramp closure
The eastbound U.S.36 off-ramp to Wadsworth Parkway will be closed for paving operations starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, through 5:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19. All U.S. 36 eastbound traffic needing to access this exit ramp will be detoured to Church Ranch Boulevard. Additionally, alternate routes will be marked for local traffic at the Interlocken exit. Detours will be posted on the project website and will be clearly marked. This activity is the beginning phase for the reconstruction of the new Wadsworth Parkway bridge. To prepare for the ramp closure, crews will be working at the U.S. 287 and Wadsworth Interchange on the embankment, surveying and installing temporary traffic signals starting Monday, Nov. 12, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., through Friday, Nov. 16.
Upcoming Wadsworth Parkway sidewalk detour
As construction for the temporary and permanent ramps begins, CDOT will detour the Wadsworth Parkway sidewalk starting Friday, Nov. 16, through fall 2013. A temporary sidewalk will be constructed to allow pedestrians access over U.S. 287. The sidewalk detour route will be posted on the project website.
Big Dry Creek closure
The Big Dry Creek Trail remains closed between the West 103rd Avenue trail intersection and the Westminster Boulevard trail undercrossing through Nov. 16.
Planned construction activities are subject to change due to weather and unanticipated schedule changes. Speed limit has been reduced from 65 to 55 miles per hour throughout the U.S. 36 corridor. Visit CDOT's website for the latest information about the project.
