Council authorizes annual competitions for new residential projects
(Oct 11, 2012)
The Westminster City Council, on Oct. 8, authorized competitions in the year 2013 for new residential projects and allocated 1,100 service commitments for those competitions.
As part of the city’s Growth Management Program, the city requires potential developers to compete for the ability to develop a new residential project.
Developers can download an application packet from the city’s website or pick up an application packet at Westminster City Hall, 4800 W. 92nd Ave. for any new single-family detached, single-family attached, multi-family, senior housing or traditional mixed-use neighborhood projects.
The deadline for project submittals is Thursday, Nov. 29. Following city review of the competition submittals, City Council will award and set aside additional service commitments in future years to the winning projects through build-out.
