Traffic signal approved at FRCC
(Sep 27, 2012)
Funding from the Federal Hazard Elimination Program has been awarded to the City of Westminster for the installation of a traffic signal on 112th Avenue at the east entrance into the Front Range Community College (FRCC) campus.
This location has experienced a significant number of traffic accidents over the past few years, which made it eligible for the funding.
The City of Westminster and FRCC have partnered on this project. FRCC will provide the 10 percent local match and the city will coordinate the installation and own and maintain the traffic signal into the future. The traffic signal is anticipated to be installed by November 2013.
