Council holds first telephone town hall meeting

On Wednesday, May 9, the Westminster City Council conducted their first ever telephone town hall meeting.
Approximately 19,000 calls were made, with approximately 1,800 citizens participating.
During the one hour phone call, the average length on the line was 11 minutes.
A peak of 681 citizens were on the line at any given time, averaging 350 throughout the call.
Questions included such topics as the redevelopment of the former Westminster Mall site, graffiti, fireworks, traffic and coyotes.
