Concrete replacement program underway
(Mar 22, 2012)
Keene Concrete started the city’s 2012 concrete replacement program on Thursday, March 15.
The contractor began with replacing the asphalt driveway and parking area at Fire Station 2.
Removal and placement of the concrete will be completed by this week, followed by the sealing of all joints and striping of the lot. The entire lot will be in full use by Thursday, March 29. Keene will then begin the replacement of curbs, gutters and sidewalks at various locations throughout the city, required as a result of utilities waterline replacement and any service repairs that took place over the past winter.
Once they have completed the utilities locations, they will then move to the streets that are slated for resurfacing in the 2012 street rehabilitation projects. They will begin on the arterial and collector streets, then move into the residential areas.
