Trimble Navigation will be breaking ground in Westminster this May for a permanent location for their business unit that handles agricultural and heavy construction vehicle GPS applications.
Trimble, with corporate headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif., is a geographic positioning solutions business with products and applications that are used in engineering and construction, surveying, agriculture, fleet management and field service.
The agriculture and heavy construction division currently employs 362 workers, and expects to add another 125 workers by 2016.
A 125,000 square foot building in Westmoor Technology Park, near Wadsworth Parkway and 108th Avenue, is currently in plan review with the City of Westminster.
The 15-acre site the company has under contract also anticipates a possible second building in the next five years.
Trimble is considered a primary employer and is part of the software/IT industry cluster that has a dominant presence in Westminster and along the U.S. 36 corridor.
