Watch the lights illuminate City Hall
(Nov 17, 2011)
Help us flip the switch on the City of Westminster’s largest display of holiday lights at the Holiday Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Westminster City Hall, 4800 W. 92nd Ave.
More than 70 thousand lights have been carefully strung and are ready to illuminate the plaza at City Hall.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with a performance by the Westminster High School Choir, followed by a holiday invocation, and the lighting of City Hall.
The event continues with the arrival of Santa Claus, performances by local school choirs, bands and the Colorado Chorale, visits with Santa, hay rides, hot chocolate and a bonfire.
Enjoy cake and other surprises in honor of Westminster’s 100th Anniversary.
Come early and listen to Robert Gift as he plays the carillon bells in the clock tower.
The magic continues each night in December when the lights come on at 5 p.m. The final evening for the lights to shine is Jan. 1, 2012.
