Public comment sought on federal grant projects
(Nov 10, 2011)
The Community Development Department will hold a final public hearing on the city’s 2012 Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME) funds, and the Citizen Participation Plan.
The hearing will be held on Monday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. at Westminster City Hall, 4800 W. 92nd Ave.
The 2012 Action Plan describes projects proposed to be funded by 2012 CDBG and HOME. The funds are allocated each year by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and are available for projects that benefit the city’s low- and moderate-income residents and to alleviate blight. Recent CDBG money has been used for the on-going Emergency and Minor Home Repair Program, and for the realignment of Bradburn Boulevard between 72nd and 73rd avenues.
