Public meeting set for city improvement plan

The City of Westminster’s Economic Development Department will hold a public meeting from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, at The MAC, 3295 W. 72nd Ave., to obtain input on the 2017 Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant Program funds.
The plan describes projects proposed to be funded by 2017 CDBG funds. These funds are allocated each year by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and are available for projects that benefit the city’s low- and moderate-income residents to alleviate blight.
On Monday, July 10, the city will hold a public hearing and receive formal City Council action on the 2017 Action Plan at the City Council meeting to be held at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall,4800 W. 92nd Ave. Members of the public are welcome to attend this meeting and provide comment on the plan.
The city is additionally requesting public feedback on the 2017 Action Plan. Full text of the plan may be viewed here.
