Mixed-use building approved for 71st Avenue and Federal Boulevard

The Westminster City Council approved an intergovernmental agreement, preliminary development plan and official development plan with the Adams County Housing Authority for the development of a 104,000-square-foot, mixed-use building at the northwest corner of 71st Avenue and Federal Boulevard.
The 4-story building will include 70 residential units ranging from one to three bedrooms and approximately 15,000 square feet of commercial office space. Seven units will be provided at 60 percent Average Median Income (AMI); 49 units will be provided at 50 percent AMI; and 14 units will be provided at 30 percent AMI.
In addition, the Adams County Housing Authority will establish offices within the commercial floor space and provide on-site management.
The developer, Gorman and Company, Inc., plans to begin construction in June 2016, with a planned opening in fall 2017.
