City adds open space at 75th and Sheridan
(Dec 18, 2013)
On Dec. 18, 2013, the city purchased 1.5 acres of land at the southeast corner of 75th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard for open space.
The property was purchased for $460,000 using City of Westminster Open Space funds and a grant of $276,000 from the Adams County Open Space program.
Acquisition of this property completes the city’s ownership of the Little Dry Creek valley in this area and will protect the view corridor for motorists traveling south on Sheridan Boulevard.
Acquisition of this property furthers the City Council’s goal of “Beautiful and Environmentally Sensitive City.”
