Jefferson County honors author of article on the Semper Farm
(Nov 06, 2013)
The Semper Farm, a more than 4-acre parcel at the northwest corner of 92nd Avenue and Pierce Street, is a designated City of Westminster local historic landmark.
Recently, Linda Graybeal, a teacher and member of the city’s Historic Landmark Board, was awarded first place in the Jefferson County Writers’ Award, Adult Long Essay category.
Her article was titled “Semper – The People, The Place, The Preservation.”
This was published in the “Historically Jeffco” magazine, an annual publication of the Jefferson County Historical Commission.
Graybeal’s research on the Semper Farm is extensive, and adds to the understanding of this site as an important link to the city’s agricultural history.
It is an honor to have Graybeal as a member of the city’s Landmark Board, and her scholarly approach is very much appreciated.
