Parent/child self-defense class
(Oct 31, 2013)
Saturday, Nov. 9, 9-11 a.m., West View Recreation Center
The street smart portion of this class consists of common sense issues about making yourself safe on the street (walking alone, not putting yourself in a position where you would have to use self-defense).
The self-defense portion consists of learning how to fall, take-downs, pressure point control tactics, learning where and how to hit (shields and targets will be utilized), throws, sweeps and more.
Participants should wear loose fitting clothing (that you don’t mind getting sweaty or possibly torn).
A self-defense test will be given at the end of the course.
A parent must take this class with their child.
Age: Children must be 8 years and older
