There are three candidates for mayor and eight candidates to fill three seats on Westminster City Council.
The three mayoral candidates are Herb Atchison, Bob Briggs and Mary Lindsey, all current members of City Council.
The eight candidates for council include Bruce Baker, Debbie Bergamo, David DeMott, A.J. Elserougi, Alberto Garcia, C. Michael Litzau, Emma Pinter and Suzanne Ramirez.
City elections are non-partisan and the city is one ward. Candidates are elected at-large to represent all citizens of the city.
The three City Council candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to four-year terms that will commence on Nov. 11.
For mayor, the candidate receiving the highest number of votes that equals at least 40 percent of the total votes cast will be elected. Should a candidate for mayor fail to receive 40 percent of the total votes cast, a run-off election will be conducted with the two highest vote getters. The candidate receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to a four-year term that will commence on Nov. 11.
