Emergency preparedness tip of the week
(Sep 19, 2013)
September is Emergency Preparedness Month.
Here is the emergency preparedness tip of the week:
Have a 72-hour kit. With the recent floods, it’s obvious why everyone should have an emergency plan.
A kit will help you shelter-in-place in case a disaster closes roads, businesses and services.
In addition, it is recommended you have an emergency radio so you can stay updated if the power is out.
Visit the Red Cross website and the Ready Colorado website for a variety emergency preparedness worksheets for families, pets, businesses and the people with disabilities.
