Council seeks public comment on 2014 budget
(Jul 09, 2013)
On Monday, July 8, Westminster City Council reviewed the city’s adopted 2014 budget and requested residents’ input; a copy of the presentation may be found on the city’s website.
The information shared at this meeting provides the public an early overview of the city’s financial condition and identified three programmatic areas where changes are under consideration. Information about the three areas under consideration (post snowstorm street sweeping, increased availability of the “fifth” ambulance, and enhanced open space management) is available on WestyCOnnect for feedback until Monday, September 9.
The adopted 2014 budget totals $175,458,143 and includes funding for all of the services and programs provided by the city government to Westminster residents, businesses and visitors.
A final public meeting will be held on Monday, Sept. 9, to solicit citizen input on the adopted 2014 city budget.
A copy of the 2013/2014 budget may be found on the city’s website. Questions about the city budget process should be directed to the City Manager’s Office at 303-658-2009.
