Westminster company named a “Colorado Companies to Watch”
(Mar 14, 2013)
A City of Westminster company was honored by being added to the 2012 “Companies to Watch” list by the Colorado State Office of Economic Development.
Cerapedics, Inc., manufacturers of a bone grafting material for use in spine, trauma and orthopedic surgery, was honored by the Westminster City Council, city economic development staff members and the State Office of Economic Development at a reception held at company headquarters at 108th Avenue and Dover Street in the Walnut Creek Business Park.
The “Companies to Watch” program recognizes second stage companies that are based in Colorado, have fewer than 100 employees and demonstrate the ability to be high growth.
Only 50 companies from a pool of nearly 500 in 2012 were selected as winners.
The bone grafting material, which is manufactured at the Westminster facility, is available to surgeons in more than 20 countries outside the U.S. The peptide enhanced material is now in the final stages of clinical trials in the U.S.
The company issued a press release that describes their milestone of treating 10,000 patients since the product first became available outside the U.S. in 2008.
