Water your trees

After a very dry and hot 2012 and a dry winter, trees in Westminster need some extra care.
Trees need thorough watering on a monthly basis when the ground is not frozen and during months with little or no precipitation. Most of a tree’s absorbing roots are in the top 12 inches of the soil, so watering deeper may not be beneficial to the tree.
