Explore Westminster’s open space online
(Jan 17, 2013)
The city’s Community Development engineering staff has developed a new interactive map devoted to the city’s open space program.
One outstanding feature of this map is the ability to see how the city has acquired open space since 1985, when open space lands began to be purchased.
The interactive timeline function displays open space acquisitions on a yearly basis or an automated player can run through the 28 years of open space growth.
Useful features of the map include a list of the open space areas along with links to the web pages that give detailed descriptions for each area.
For convenience, the ability to find an address in the city is provided along with links to the Google street level imagery.
If you want to take a copy of the map into the field, a print snapshot button is also provided.
