How will Westminster evolve during the next 20 years?
(Jan 03, 2013)
The city is beginning an update to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP). The update will integrate all aspects of physical planning in the city into one cohesive document with direction for land use, parks and open space, community design, economic development, infrastructure and resource management. The updated plan will establish a road map for how the city will grow and evolve during the next 20 years.
As a first step in the planning process, an initial round of focused outreach was held in November 2012, with more than 40 stakeholder interviews. A summary of this outreach can be found on the www.planwestminster.us website.
As the planning process continues, there will be multiple opportunities for community participation and input at City Council meetings, Planning Commission meetings, city-wide open houses and online surveys. Dates and times for these events, as well as documents and presentation materials, will be posted to the Plan Westminster website.
