Westminster's Municipal Channel 8
Westminster’s Channel 8 began broadcasting community bulletin board programming in the Spring of 1995. The channel expanded to include video programming in the Spring of 1999. Channel 8 is defined as a government access channel, and programming is maintained for City of Westminster and/or other governmental agency information.
Expanding the programming on Channel 8 helps to carry out Westminster City Council goals, which include enhancing civics knowledge and community identity, enhancing and augmenting communication to support the city’s stated mission and values, and to utilize the sensory dimension of the medium to tell our stories.
Channel 8 operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is transmitted over the Comcast cable system in Westminster. Channel 8 operates from its control room at Westminster City Hall. For more information about Westminster’s Channel 8, call 303-658-2012.
