How Do I Find Out My PIN?

Your PIN is the last four digits of your home phone number.  So, if your home phone number is 303-404-5555, then your PIN should be 5555.  However, on occasion, this is not the case.  If you can’t access the system with the last four digits of your phone number, contact the library.  

How Do I Access My Library Account?

My Account enables you to find out what you have checked out, what you have requested, when your items are due, and to renew your items. You can access this function several different ways.

1. You can check your account online:
   • Click on the link for MY ACCOUNT
   • Enter your library card number and PIN
   • Click on LOG IN
2. You can phone our Telecirc renewal line, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 303-404-5710.
3. You can contact our Circulation Department during regular operating hours at 303-658-2601 (College Hill) or 303-658-2301(Irving Street)
4. You can visit either of our locations during regular operating hours.

How Do I Renew My Items?

You can renew your items several different ways:

1. You can phone our Telecirc renewal line, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 303-404-5710. Please note: Phone renewals are briefly unavailable due to weekly maintenance between 9-10 p.m. on Thursday nights.
2. You can renew online: Please note: Both the catalog and online renewals are briefly unavailable due to weekly maintenance between 9-10 p.m. on Thursdays.
   • Click on link for MY ACCOUNT
   • Enter your library card number and PIN
   • Click on LOG IN
   • Click on ITEMS OUT
   • Check each item you want to renew
   • Click on RENEW
3. You can contact our Circulation Department during regular operating hours at 303-658-2601(College Hill) or 303-658-2301 (Irving Street).
4. You can visit either of our locations during regular operating hours.

Please note: Not all items can be renewed (see below). You will be notified during the renewal process if your item did not renew.

Why Didn't My Items Renew?

The item is a WOW item and is therefore non-renewable.

• The item is on hold for another patron.
• The item has already been renewed the maximum number of times.
• The item is an Interlibrary Loan.  Call the Interlibrary Loan office at 303-658-2625 to determine if it can be renewed.
• Your card has expired.
• You have too many fines and fees owing on your library card.

How Do I Find Books, Movies, Etc.?

You can see which items the library owns several different ways:

1. You can check the library catalog online:
   

To perform a basic search:

• Click on the catalog link on the Library home page
• Type in the item's title, author, subject, or series title in the search box
• Click on the arrow
• Click on the title of the item to get more information

To perform a more advanced catalog search:

• Click on the catalog link on the Library home page
• Click on the green SEARCH THE CATALOG tab
• Click on the link named POWER
• Now type in several different search terms and limit your search results

How Do I Request an item?

For an item the Library owns, but is not checked in, you can:

1. You can request an item online:
   • Click on the link for the catalog
   • Type in the item’s title, author, subject, or series title in the search box
   • Click on the arrow
   • Click on the title of the item you wish to request
   • Click on REQUEST ITEM
   • Enter your library card number and PIN
   • Click LOGIN
   • Select the location where you wish to pick up the item
   • Click on REQUEST
2. You can have a staff member place a hold request by phoning the library at 303-658-2603 (College Hill) or 303-658-2303 (Irving Street) during regular operating hours.

For an item the Library doesn't own, you can talk to a librarian at 303-658-2603 and/or:

1. Request the item through Interlibrary Loan
2. Complete a Request for Purchase (new items only)
