LIBRARY - IRVING STREET AND COLLEGE HILL - SUMMER READING PROGRAM - Distribute reading records and explain summer reading program to community participants.  Hand out prizes and assist library staff with various projects. Available June1 - July 31, at least two hours each week.  Volunteers must be 12-17 years old, and attend a training session with a parent to complete an application and schedule volunteer times. (Make sure you know your summer vacation/activity schedule!).

LIBRARY - COLLEGE HILL - GIFT SHOP - Sell items, re-stock shelves; keep track of inventory, etc. Minimum age is 18 years. Available various shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday; Two or four hours shifts once a week for a minimum of 6 months.

LIBRARY - COLLEGE HILL - READER'S ADVISORY ASSISTANT - Look up books and use the computer to enter date. Minimum age is 18 years. Available Tuesday through Friday; morning or afternoon (also Tuesday evening). Four hours per week for at least 6 months.

LIBRARY - COLLEGE HILL - TECHNICAL SERVICES AIDE - Repair library materials; unpack shipments of books and check in; help process books. Minimum age 18 years. Available Monday through Friday; morning or afternoon. At least 2 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.

LIBRARY - COLLEGE HILL - STAFF AIDE - Assist the adult services librarian with word processing, computer searching, photocopying, filing and other clerical projects. Plus set up displays based on a theme. Minimum age is 18 years. Available Monday-Saturday; morning, afternoon, or evening. Two hours per week for a minimum of one year.

LIBRARY - COLLEGE HILL AND IRVING STREET - CIRCULATION AIDE - Sort and collate material for shelving carts. Keep shelves in order by shifting the books. Help with inventory. Minimum age is 18 years. Available Monday through Sunday; morning, afternoon or evening. Minimum of 4 hours per week (2 hours twice a week) for at least 6 months.

LIBRARY - COLLEGE HILL AND IRVING STREET - FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY - Re-stock books for the on-going used books sales at College Hill Library; plan and /or help at special fund raising events; serve on the Board or as a Committee Chair or work on one of the committees. Ages 5 to 17 belong to Junior Friends of the Library. Hours vary. One-year commitment.
