Open Space

The Westminster Open Space Volunteer Program was created to help maintain and preserve almost 3,000 acres of open space. A variety of projects are scheduled monthly (weather permitting) and include trail building, tree wrapping, fence repair and installation, wetland plantings and Russian olive management.

  • Who Can Volunteer - Projects are open to individuals, families, groups and civic organizations, however, volunteers must be at least 16 years of age unless accompanied by an adult. This is a fun, flexible way to volunteer. No skills are necessary – just a love of the outdoors! All tools and equipment are provided.

  • Check for upcoming projects on the Environment/Open Space Events Calendar.
