Artist: Christopher Romero, Thornton, Colorado (christopher@clrmetalart.com).

How acquired: Community Enhancement funds from the City of Westminster.
Comments: This beautiful bronze sculpture depicts a watchful golden eagle perched on a branch. This is one of the three sculptures of raptors sculpted by Christopher Romero, all of which are part of the city’s public art collection. The other two sculptures are The Guide and The Messenger (bald eagle).
The following is the artist’s statement about this sculpture:
“I started this sculpture almost two years before final completion, because of another full-time occupation at the time. It was a labor of love to complete and it definitely took all my patience to keep moving slowly on this sculpture. It is of a golden eagle, one of nature’s finest predatory birds. I appreciated their grace, power and beauty in flight and respect of all the power, strength, patience and wisdom they possess.”
