Arts and Crafts Quilt

Location: Orchard Town Center, 144th Avenue/I-25.
Artist: Redmond Schwartz Mark Design – San Clemente, California (website ).
How Acquired: Purchased by the developer to fulfill the City’s public art requirements.
Year Installed: 2008.
Comments: This piece is an original composition of hand crafted tile inspired by historic arts and crafts patterns and colors.  The piece had many craftsmen working on it throughout the U.S.  The composition was designed in California, the tiles were manufactured in Michigan (by Motauri Tileworks) and the piece was assembled in Washington State.
