Bradburn Drive Bridge over City Park Channel
The Bradburn Drive Bridge over City Park Channel is a small, elegant bridge that provides access to the Bradburn development from 120th Avenue, just west of Lowell Boulevard. The bridge is clad in faux stone similar to that used in the Sheridan Crossing bridges immediately to the west. Unlike those bridges, the Bradburn Bridge incorporates a graceful arch design. The bridge was designed by Carroll & Lange, under city staff direction, and opened in 2003. The bridge was paid for by the developer, Continuum Partners.
In 2016, the four lights that were located on each of the four columns were replaced by custom designed and fabricated obelisk-shaped lights. Each obelisk is made from sheet metal with a vaguely floral/craftsman style design. The voids created in the sheet metal are covered with a translucent material. The insides of the obelisks are illuminated with LED lights which cast a pleasing decorative glow at night.
These light fixtures were designed by Dig Studios in collaboration with the fabricator, Ad-Light and Signs. Continuum Partners paid for most of the expense for the new lights with partial funding provided by the city of Westminster.
