1) Why are you the most qualified person for this office?

I will bring integrity and passion to my leadership on Westminster City Council.  I am a small business owner and also an attorney, and while I am proud of my achievements, I believe that my dedication to public service and my commitment to our community are my true qualifications.

My achievements and life experience have prepared me to take on the tough challenges facing our city such as the redevelopment of the Westminster Mall and holding RTD accountable. To learn more about my background and endorsements visit www.emmapinter.com.

2) What is the most important issue facing Westminster and how will you address it?

Redevelopment of the old mall site can and should build a foundation for a vibrant local business community. With my leadership, redevelopment should restore our central commercial shopping experience to its well-deserved prominence. Our city has the potential to lead the economic engine of the Front Range.

3) What do you think the city does well and where do you see room for improvement?

Generally our city is very sensible. We consistently have a balanced budget, adequate water reserves, ample parks, trails and open space. We also have an established historic and arts community in south Westminster that is not yet well known.

We do need a stronger central identity. More needs to be done to be attractive to new business, support existing businesses and to encourage our own small businesses to flourish.

Simple things like a more efficient and predictable permitting and inspections process would go a long way to making it easier to start a business in our city.

4) What is your favorite thing about living in Westminster?

My husband and I have made a commitment to raise our family here because we truly love living here. The deep affection for our city shared by our Westminster neighbors inspires me every day. If you have further questions, please call my cell phone 720-239-2053.
