General Services

The Department of General Services is an internal service department supporting all city departments.

Services are provided by the following divisions:

• Building Operations and Maintenance
• City Clerk
• Employee Development and Benefits
• Fleet Maintenance
• Municipal Court
• Risk Management
• Workforce Planning and Compensation

The department provides technical support to other departments, facilitates employee and management communications, and coordinates the Employee Recognition Program team.

Additionally, the department contracts for city employee health, life, survivor's income and long-term disability benefits.
