Commuter Rail

Commuter rail is coming to Westminster in 2016. RTD's FasTrack's project will bring three rail stations to Westminster:

• Westminster Station - to be located at approximately 71st Avenue and Irving Street. Scheduled to open in 2016. Read more about the Westminster Station.
  
  
• Westminster Center Station - to be located at approximately 88th Avenue and Harlan Street. Scheduled to open based on funding resources. Read more about the Westminster Center Station. 
  
  
• Walnut Creek Station - to be located at the northwest corner of Church Ranch Boulevard and U.S. 36 at the north end of the Shops at Walnut Creek shopping center. Scheduled to open based on funding resources. Read more about the Walnut Creek Station. 

Transit Oriented Development (TOD)

In preparation for these stations, the City of Westminster is planning for redevelopment of the areas surrounding the stations, or Transit Oriented Development.

• Westminster Station TOD - The area around the future Westminster Station consists of 135-acres bound by Federal Boulevard and Lowell Boulevard, 72nd Avenue and approximately 68th Avenue. Read more about the Westminster Station TOD.
