Mary Lindsey was elected to City Council in November 2005 and re-elected in November 2009. She is an accountant and ballroom dance promoter. She has run her own business, The Alphabet Soup Kompany, ASK, 30 years in Westminster. She has been a Realtor since 1999. Lindsey has lived in the city, raised three boys and been an active citizen for more than 30 years. She has been a member of the city Environmental Advisory Board since 2004.
She has also served as a member of the Adjustments and Appeals Board; as a trainer for IYC, Internet and Your Child's safety; on the Jefferson County PTA Council; and as an Adopt-a-street volunteer. She serves as liaison to the following city boards: Environmental Advisory; Parks, Recreation and Libraries Advisory; and Historic Landmark. She is the treasurer for the Metzger Farm Foundation. Lindsey also serves on the Policy Committee for the Colorado Municipal League and the FAIR (Finance Administration of Intergovernmental Relations) Committee for the National League of Cities. She was the field supervisor for Jefferson and Larimer counties for the U.S. Census Bureau.
Lindsey graduated from the Westminster Citizens Police Academy in 2007 and the Citizens Fire Academy in 2009.
She served as treasurer for the North Area Business and Professional Women’s Association, AAVP for Jefferson County Council, and legislative aide for State of Colorado.
She was the general manager for 14 years for a homeowners association of 549 homes with a public golf course in Broomfield.
Lindsey enjoys the community spirit of the residents and the dedication and environmental foresight of the city staff and officials. She wants to keep Westminster a safe and economically strong environment in which to raise families and enjoy our resources.
